About Bone Bros

A match of Bone Bros is three minutes of top-down mayhem in a low-poly crypt. You move twin-stick style — keyboard to run, mouse to aim — and every weapon in the dungeon is up for grabs: walk onto a shotgun, a wand, a bow, a fire staff, a throwing axe, a fan of daggers, a triple-bolt repeater or a whirling scythe and tap Swap to trade the one in your hands for it. Dash out of trouble (leaving an icy streak on the flagstones), grab a potion when your health runs low, and scoop the gold your rivals drop when they clatter apart.

Your bro is a real choice, not just a costume: the Knight soaks 125 HP but lumbers, the Rogue is the quickest thing in the crypt on 90, and the Mage opens with the Wand and hopes you never reach it. Skeleton counterparts play exactly like their hero opposites, so switching sides never costs you your feel.

At the centre of every map sits a pedestal, and on it, one prize: Quad Damage, Haste or a Shield. Only one is ever out, it comes back thirty seconds after someone takes it, and whoever's carrying it glows — so everyone knows exactly who to shoot. Kill them and the powerup dies with them.

Bros move like they mean it: strafing when you circle an enemy, backpedalling when you retreat, rolling when you dash, flinching when something heavy connects, and holding whatever they're carrying pointed straight at you — the shot leaves the barrel, not the chest.

Died? You get four seconds to pick a different bro from the respawn screen — the switch lands when you come back, health and weapon and all.

Play free-for-all, or flip the lobby to Teams for Heroes vs Skeletons — knights and mages on one side, bone warriors on the other. Two arenas ship in the box: the corridor-crawling Crypt and the open, pillar-studded Courtyard, and the lobby votes on where to fight. Most kills when the bell rings wins; a tie goes to sudden death, where the next kill takes the crown.

Everything is built from Kay Lousberg's charming KayKit dungeon and character packs — chunky, colorful 3D that reads perfectly from above even on small screens. A proper game HUD frames it: team scoreboard up top, your health and abilities down front. The crypt is lit by its own torches: warm pools on the flagstones, cold slate in between, soot climbing the wall above every sconce and shadow pooling where the stone meets the floor. Embers drift up off the flames and dust hangs in the light. Beyond the walls is packed earth level with the wall tops, falling away into the dark, so the whole arena reads as a lit hole carved out of solid ground. Tilt the camera down with ALT and the wheel and you can see it. The renderer scales itself to your machine, shedding resolution before it ever sheds frames, so matches stay smooth from school Chromebooks to gaming rigs. Bots keep small lobbies lively, late joiners spectate until the next round, and rematches are one click. Bring a friend and enter the crypt.
